Abstract:
The major of building environment and energy application engineering is one of the supporting majors for achieving the carbon peak and carbon neutrality strategy. However, in recent years, this major has faced the problems of declining attractiveness to students and the loss of excellent students. In this regard, this paper proposes to enhance students" sense of identification with the major, stimulate their enthusiasm for learning, and thus increase their confidence in the major in order to retain outstanding students. As the students" first practical contact with the major, professional awareness internships can effectively play the above-mentioned roles. Therefore, it is planned to combine professional awareness internships with the enhancement of professional identification, and carry out internship course reforms for freshmen, with the principles of "advanced timing, innovative content, exposure to the forefront, and ideological guidance". At the same time, a teaching team that "loves the profession, tracks the forefront, and empathizes with students" will be established to motivate students to love the profession through internships. Currently, the author has applied the reform plan to the practical process of the building environment and energy application engineering major at Nanjing Tech University, and will continue to improve and explore in the future.
