Abstract:Through research on engineering education from ancient and modern times, both domestically and internationally, this paper analyzes the problems of moral education in engineering majors from the perspective of contemporary engineering education: weakened moral education function of teachers, neglect of student literacy cultivation, and lack of warmth in teacher-student relationships, the insufficient accumulation of educational theory among engineering teachers in higher education institutions is a bottleneck that hinders the moral education of engineering majors. The construction of a "teacher-student community" is an effective way to solve the problem of moral education and talent cultivation. A new path for the construction of a "teacher-student community" in engineering majors in universities in the new era is proposed, which includes the cultivation of teachers with dual backgrounds in education and engineering, the reform of the teacher's time supply side, and the construction of a caring and warm teacher-student relationship. The research results can provide new insights for the work of moral education and talent cultivation in higher engineering education in China in the new era.
