Abstract:In order to implement the fundamental task of cultivating morality and talents, and strengthen the effectiveness of classroom education, in recent years, Chongqing University has deeply promoted the construction of ideological and political education in the civil engineering major course, which is a compulsory course in civil engineering. The course has achieved initial results and has been selected as a demonstration course of ideological and political education in Chongqing and one of the first batch of demonstration courses of ideological and political education by the Ministry of Education. Under the guidance of the curriculum concept centered on student growth, this article introduces the ideological and political construction of the civil engineering general and seminar courses in accordance with the requirements of the "Guidelines for Ideological and Political Construction of Higher Education Curriculum" issued by the Ministry of Education. The article focuses on describing the methods, characteristics, innovative practices, and demonstration effects of ideological and political construction in courses, which can provide reference and guidance for the ideological and political construction of similar courses.
