    Abstract:

The lack of effective connection between undergraduate and graduate education is one of the main challenges in cultivating high-quality, high-level innovative talents in China. To bridge the capability gap between bachelor's and master's degrees, this study aims to systematically establish an integrated "undergraduate-master’s" training model for selecting innovative and high-quality students. Through modular curriculum design, the integration of theoretical teaching content, development of shared "undergraduate-graduate" courses, and implementation of a flexible "credit recognition" mechanism, the model achieves a spiral upward progression in knowledge structure and abilities, as well as the pre-position of research thinking training. A trinity practical training platform of “university-enterprise cooperation, virtual simulation, and scientific competitions” is established, including the creation of provincial-level virtual simulation experimental courses and the construction of an industry-academia-research integrated technology competition platform, optimizing resources for the training and selection of application-oriented talents. Early involvement of supervisors is encouraged to maximize the bidirectional selection between teachers and students, guiding students to deeply engage in scientific research projects during their undergraduate studies, thus pre-positioning the identification and cultivation of innovative talents. An innovative selection and evaluation system is introduced, which incorporates project contributions, competition achievements, and other practical application abilities as assessment criteria. This study not only provides theoretical references for cultivating innovative talents in universities but also verifies through practical outcomes the significant advantages of the integrated undergraduate-master’s training model in enhancing students' innovative capabilities, shortening training cycles, and aligning with industry needs. It offers a replicable experiential paradigm for higher education reform in the new era.
