Abstract:Under the accelerating evolution of profound changes unseen in a century, strengthening the sense of Chinese national community among university students has become a critical practical issue for safeguarding overall national security. Nowadays, with complex and volatile domestic and international environments, security risks have become more concealed and challenging. From the perspective of overall national security, the impact of Western cultural values brought by modernization and globalization, the potential threats to the younger generation from shifts in the balance of power among nations and geopolitical interests, as well as the borderless cyberspace created by the accelerated iteration of contemporary technologies are undermining the stability of university students" sense of Chinese national community and threatening the solidity of the nation"s and the people"s core values. In the new era, it has become an urgent necessity to foster a correct view of the nation and ethnicity among university students, which is essential for reinforcing the sense of Chinese national community. To achieve this, it is necessary to align with the cognitive characteristics and patterns of contemporary university students, translate the strategic demands of national security into the internal logic of educational practice, innovate teaching content, explore immersive educational paradigms across all scenarios, and establish long-term mechanisms to cultivate guardians of the Chinese national community who are both rooted in cultural traditions and equipped with a global perspective.
