Abstract:Against the backdrop of a new round of technological revolution and industrial transformation, engineering education continues to make important contributions to promoting the building of a community with a shared future for mankind and the construction of a better home for humanity. This study collaborates with resource of multiple institutions and uses diverse data such as policy documents, research reports, current affairs information, and academic perspectives to outline the landscape of global engineering education reform and development. The study finds that global engineering education has made new progress and shown new developments in areas such as regional educational dialogue, strategic top-level design, international cooperation and exchange, optimization of accreditation systems, talent strategy development, gender equality progress, exploration of artificial intelligence, and lifelong learning system. These hotspots of policy and practice have produced potential and far-reaching impacts, providing important insights for the reform and development of engineering education in China in the new era.
