The urban and rural planning has entered a new stage of development. The professional course teaching should be adjusted and improved gradually to comply with the requirements of the discipline development. This paper takes the course of urban economics as an example to analyze the shortcomings in the teaching of courses, explores and reforms the teaching content and method, so as to provide reference for the urban and rural planning professional basic courses teaching.
