“Learning promoting teaching” curriculum reform model and effect evaluation of civil engineering material

    Abstract:

    The success and failure of the college curriculum reform depend on teachers and students both. Taking civil engineering material course as an example, we studied the “learning promoting teaching” curriculum reform model based on the view of students’ study, which can promote students’ study enthusiasm, develop their subjectivity and show students’ central position during the teaching reform. This curriculum reform model focused on the relationship between teaching and studying and its effect evaluation. The characteristics of this model were that the teaching method was based on the point of student, students’ study information can be got and considered during the whole teaching procedure, and synthesis methodology was used to evaluate students’ achievements. The four-year reform practice and analysis show that the reform model can strengthen students’ subjectivity, develop their subject capacity, cultivate their subject personality, and stimulate their study enthusiasm.
