Auspicious animal Pi Xiu is an important cultural shape at the course of development patterns of China, with its unique national style and aesthetic charm with time. PiXiu which develops as a traditional auspicious symbol has completely aesthetic function, and its unique “auspicious divinity” contains a rich cultural charm, rooting from China’s special historical background and traditional culture to creation. This paper focuses on the historical roots of PiXiu’s “auspicious divinity ”, form features and functions with its evolution in cultural implication of form and content to critically analyze.
