Background “white space” is the relatively common formal characteristics of warrior figure in tomb stone inscription of Song Dynasty in Lu County.With this, the stone inscription shows the verve of distance and etherealness and enjoys great aesthetics.Focus on this theme, a deep analysis is made in this paper concerning four aspects including the technical history, aesthetic pursuit, implementation possibility as well as spiritual core of the “white space” of stone inscription in Lu County.
