Influnced by Kant’s aesthetics directly or indirectly,modern literary theorists represented by Wang Guowei,Wen Yiduo,Zong Baihua and Liang Zongdai had keen on the form.They consciously carried out the construction of formal theory,and identified the form as the core elements constituted the essence of art.This construction not only gives modern literary theory the heterogeneous factors different from tradition,but also shows the modernity character of modern literary theory from one side.
