Social management mode is one of the important contents of the social management innovation. To further study the evolution of social management mode can help us clarify the dynamic mechanism of the social management innovation and development trend of social management pattern, it also can help us grasp the scientific implication of social management mode under new situation. It concludes that there are three types of social management mode in New China: all-round control, social self-government, market service. The first type is in the lead among all the years. In new period, macro-environment has changed, the social ecosystem has changed totally, we have to innovate new social management mode. To the former management mode, we must develop the useful and discard the useless, which is the basis direction of social management innovation. From being put forward to being perfected gradually, it embody the good governance theory, having abundant connotation and distinct feature.
