语言是文化的载体，二者密不可分。大学英语教学应当做到语言和文化相结合，但实践中文化教学因种种原因被忽略。因此，须重视语言和文化相结合在理论和教学实践上的重要性和可行性，期望引起公共外语教师的普遍重视。
