中国儿童文学理论体系的主要框架是：思想和艺术相统一；教育和娱乐相统一；文学的一般规律和儿童特点相统一；时代精神和民族特色相统一。思想内容健康、教育性强是举世公认的中国儿童文学的特色，但也表现出了趣味性、娱乐性不足等缺点。
