Evaluation of the humanities and social sciences research is complex, is not yet mature in theory,many problems exist in the practice of the evaluation. In fact,the evaluation of the humanities and social sciences research has a variety of forms, such as evaluation of the humanities and social sciences research is a value judgments and the "evaluation of the evaluation" and so on, and there are a few conflicts between academic and non-academic standards of evaluation criteria.In the practice of evaluation,there are a lot of contradictions between evaluation of the subject and evaluation of the procedures also. Therefore, it is urgently needed to analyze the complex nature of humanities and social sciences in depth,to establish and improve the evaluation mechanisms,evaluation criteria and evaluation system of China’s humanities and social sciences research.
