Combining such factors as construction, dance, arts, music and so on,Dazu Grottoes is the best example of the Song Dynasty grottoes arts tending to be limited by religious instruments and gauge systems, as well as influenced by the spirit of the age, aesthetic taste and customs etiquette ,etc. In-depth research in the dance images of Dazu Grottoes will not only discover the local dance sources in Chongqing and enrich the weak studies in the dance perspective of Dazu Grottoes arts, as well as do good to the research studies in dance aesthetic value and historical meaning .This research tries to analyze the dance image features, language expression, forms and artistic aesthetic orientation of the dance images in three grottoes of Dazu grottoes, namely Heretics slandering about the impiety of Buddhism, the Spring Dragon Wakes, the guardian God fights with Asura. Thus, there are profound realistic meaning, as well as great meaning from the perspective of artistic heritage and artistic creation.
