Population ageing is the result of the progress of social development and the inexorable law of development of human history． Chongqing has entered the aging society, and for a long period of time keeps the ageing of the population state． By empirical research of current situation of the ageing of the population in Chongqing, this article analyzes the reasons, puts forward countermeasures to meet the needs of economic and social development in Chongqing from vision to recent goals．
