The evaluation of social science research achievements is an important part in social science research management, which is also a topic of wide concern. The current evaluation methods are mainly peerreviewed method, citation analysis and comprehensive evaluation method. This paper emphatically discussed comprehensive evaluation method based on comparative analysis of these three methods, expounds the comprehensive evaluation ideas to four aspects of index comprehensive evaluation: establishment of index system, weight determination, target acquisition and combination of evaluation methods. Then, it puts forward a comprehensive evaluation system of social science research achievements with a view to help the research and application of social science research achievements evaluation.
