Abstract:
The purpose of this study is to explore the difference in attitudes about using counseling-based services between Chinese and American older adults.Using “Fear of Intimate Scale” to survey currently attitude to social services on 150 Chinese old adults and 145 American old adults, knowing their particular points in their attitudes by comparing the research results, the researchers find that Chinese old adults’ attitude towards helping services is less positive than American old adults.There are different factors that influence old adults confidences to helping services in two countries.
