    Abstract:

    The uxorilocal marriage is a special form of marriage. In the novel, the uxorilocal marriage is between reality and fiction. It embodies a potential to stretch beyond the inherent values and social norms, especially in the aspect of germination and construction of the novel plot. The authors got natural convenience from the uxorilocal marriage. They can narrate the story from women's standpoint. A variety of problems in the uxorilocal marriage were transformed into several levels of the novel plot. The wedding, surname change and abjection which were awkward to the son-in-law became an important source of the plot. So the novels about the uxorilocal marriage are not the tragedy but comedy or drama. The uxorilocal marriage develops into the most exciting elements of the plot in the novel. It helps the characters in the novel make the exchange. Meanwhile the uxorilocal marriage also completed gorgeous turn of itself.
