Abstract:In this paper, the description of the wastewater treatment in Chongqing was presented. The present situation of the sludge treatment and disposal of Chongqing municipal wastewater treatment plants was analyzed. Some suggestions on the sludge management in future were proposed and several questions relevant to the suggestions were discussed.

Abstract:In this paper, the optimum operating parameters for air-water backwashing of common sand filter with three different backwashing manners are chosen by single factor optimization and multiple cross experiments. It is concluded that the three-phase combined backwashing manner is the best one.

Abstract:根据重庆主城三十年(1954~1983) 的原始暴雨资料, 采用“年多个样法”建立数理统计样本, 分别应用指数分布曲线和皮尔逊- Ⅲ型分布曲线, 调整样本中暴雨资料频率, 得出暴雨强度- 降雨历时- 重现期的关系, 在此基础上首次提出并运用“解析法”和“分组平均法”求解单一重现期暴雨强度公式的参数、调整各重现期暴雨强度公式的参数值,得到重庆市主城暴雨强度公式

Abstract:This study demonstrated that the temperature variation could cause alternation of quantity and population of microbes and affect biodegradation of organic matter during natural composting process of static pile sludge. It was found that the biodegradable solids of composting mass were mostly degraded during moderate thermophilic period and the mesophilic and thermophilic microorganisms played a major role during sludge composting process.

Abstract:In drinking water, excessive residual aluminum can harm human health severely, such as retaining foetus neurofibril development, leading to dementia and exhibiting dialysis osteo-dystrophy. In addition, excessive residual aluminum may have certain effect on the water distribution system. The World Health Organization and many developed countries have regulated the residual aluminum as a norm of drinking water quality and limited the respective maximum concentration level. Aluminum is present in all natural water, but the total residual aluminum in drinking water mainly comes from use of aluminum coagulants under improper operational conditions. Thus, optimizing the operational conditions or adopting other measures would reduce the total residual aluminum in drinking water.

Abstract:The definition, history and development process of water pollution control planning are introduced in this paper. The new methods of water pollution control planning based on GIS and ANN technology are introduced as well. At present, the water resources shortage and water environment pollution have restricted the development of the society and economy, so the improvement of the standard of water pollution control will be benefit for the sustainable utilization of the water resources.

Abstract:通过溶解氧对一池无回流间歇曝气系统( NBIAS) 对除磷脱氮效果的影响的研究表明:在NBIAS 系统运行过程中DO 和NOt- N浓度的周期性变化使系统呈现明显的厌氧—好氧—缺氧交替变化过程;DO愈大,硝化反应速度愈快,NOt- N浓度愈高,即能有效抑制在缺氧过程中的磷的释放, 保证出水水质; 当SRT在18~22 天的情况下,DO= 3 mg/l时,NBIAS处理城市污水出水TP< 1 mg/l,TP去除率> 80% 。

Abstract:In this paper the phosphorus removal performance has been studied in Non-backflow Intermittent Aeration System (NBIAS), when the aeration duration and SRT were adjusted. At the same time, nitrogen removal was also studied. Test results show that when the cycle duration is 6 h., anaerobic duration 1.5h. sedimentation and displacement time 0.5 h. and SRT=20 d,aerobic ratio 0.42, the removal efficiency for CODcr, nitrogen and phosphorus will be 85%, 75% and 69%, respectively.

Abstract:Tests and study were carried out on indoor air bacteria pollution in dwelling house inChongqing city. Based on the data of measured bacteria concentration of the indoor air,the reasons for indoor air pollution were analyzed. Ith was found that the bacteria seriously polluted the indoor air. The main factors influencing the indoor air bacteria pollution are moisture, natural ventilation and lighting conditions. The construction forms and decoration of the dwelling house are the secondary reasons for indoor air bacteria pollution. Measures and suggestions of preventing the indoor air bacteria pollution and improving the indoor air quality and environmental quality were presented.

Abstract:On_site measurement and numerical modeling are made for the interior heat mass distribution. The heat and mass coupling equation system to the porous saline materials in one-dimensional temperature and mass degree field was established. The dynamic distribution features of the materials in moderate temperature and mass degree field were obtained. The result of numerical modeling coincided with that of actual measurement and testified to the numerical model. The study has significance in promoting the interrelated sciences in their studies on the problem of heat and mass transport in porous saline materials.

Abstract:Numerical calculation with FEM was carried out for the fin efficiencies of common rectangular flat fin and three flat fins with modified geometry The result shows that the general heat tasfer performance of fin B2 is higher than that of common flat fin, but the fin efficiency is lower. Both the performances of heat transfer and fin efficiences of fin C and fin D are higher than those of common flat fin. The work of this paper is valuable for optimization design of high efficient fin.

Abstract:The cup-flame burning installation with swirl-flow of natural gas is a new type device with high performance. It possesses the characteristics of fast speed heating up, homogeneous heating, fuel conservation and novel structure. It can be widely used for forging furnaces, heat treatment hardening furnaces, low fusing point melting furnaces and some other kinds of kilns. This installation is one with promising prospect.

Abstract:Considering the particularities in the powerhouse design of Sanxia Hydropower Station, the load characteristics and process design of laminated air-conditioning at the generator level in summer have been analyzed and discussed. Several methods of load calculation have been analyzed. Based on the results of calculation by these methods, the load characteristics and energy saving benefits have been discussed. Taking a normal section at generator level for an example, the design condition and refrigeration demand have been dissected, thus providing some experiences to this or other project.

Abstract:This paper points out the problems in air conditioning and the urgent need in energy saving. By observations and analyses, it shows that the idea of making use of natural resources to improve the indoor air may date back to ancient times. This paper also examines the feasibility of taking advantage of dry or wet bulb temperature, solar energy, underground rock etc. to regulate the room temperature. Finally, it concludes that the above mentioned old idea has such characteristics as energy saving, low cost and less pollution. Therefore, it is a good green plan in energy saving air conditioning.

Abstract:This paper surveys the current situation of atrium smoke management research at home and abroad. Recent research such as the types and configurations of atrium buildings, atrium smoke management system, smoke exhaust system modes and smoke exhaust effectiveness, atrium smoke filling process and its time constant, pre_stratification and detection, air flow for smoke control between the atrium and adjoining space, sprinkler effect are discussed. Regulations of atrium design and some problems in current national code (Code for Fire Protection Design of Tall Buildings GB50045-95) are also discussed and areas of further research are specified.

Abstract:In urban gas network with multiple pressure ranges, there is an optimal effect radius, for which the annual calculating cost is minimal. According to the analysis of technology and economy about the gas supply with the medium pressure in urban gas transmission and distribution system, the optimal effect radius of regulator station in medium pressure gas network has been obtained.

Abstract:This paper reviews the evolvement of the atrium. In this paper the function of atria in buildings and the thermal performance and climatic factors of atria were described. The factors influencing the energy consumption of atrium buildings were analyzed and some measures for energy saving were presented. By using a computer simulation, the impact of the atrium's physical parameters including atrium proportion, top-glazing area and atrium wall mass on its energy costs was studied.

Abstract:This article elaborates the significance of the thermal simulation of the enclosure in physical model of atria under fire and presents an idea to conduct the thermal simulation. A series of one-dimensional thermal transfer equations of the enclosure are found for the atria with a round section under fire. The series of equations can be solved by the method of numerical analysis and based on the result, the analysis and comparison are carried out.
