    Abstract:
Through the discussion from a view different from the traditional, the correlations between UV 254 and organic matter monitoring parameters in the field of water supply and wastewater treatment was discussed, such as TOC, DOC and THMs precursors. According to the explanation of applicability in this paper, UV 254 can be used as a surrogate parameter. The measurement of UV 254 as a surrogate parameter has several advantages, such as inexpensive instrument, convenient operation, low operating costs, good correlations to the parameters surrogated, high accuracy and excellent data reappearance in multiple measurements. The application of UV 254 as an indirect parameter is quite valuable, especially under the current financial level of the operation and monitoring of the water and wastewater treatment plants and the laboratory research in China.

    Abstract:
Development Management (DM) in decision phase, Project Management on behalf of the owner (OPM) in implementation phase and Facility Management (FM) in operation phase are three isolated management tools during traditional life cycle management of construction project. As a result, a lot of potential disadvantages are aroused. In recent years, many research organizations try to reform the traditional method using different integration means. This paper tries to explore into integration of DM, OPM and FM to overcome the malpractice of traditional life cycle management of construction project. The research focuses on three aspects: 1.putting forward the concept of Life Cycle Integrated Management (LCIM), based on management integration theory; 2. Raising a new idea to owner's (operator's) management organization design, which emphasizes on the balance of life cycle objectives; 3. Analyzing an information module, level and method of system integration of Life Cycle Integrated Management Information System.

    Abstract:
PFI is one of the novel approaches for the private finance in public works. The initiative aims on encouraging the private sector to undertake infrastructure projects and the provision of services on a project basis, rather than by the traditional means of procurement. PFI has been widely applied in a large number of fields in public works of government. PFI has become one of the government's main instruments for delivering higher quality and more effective public services. Two of the principal tenets of PFI is: the first is to secure value for money for the public sectors and the second to transfer the ongoing risk in the continued delivery of a service away from the public sector to the private sector.

    Abstract:
Building roof garden can widen the green area and expand the green space effectively. It has the ecological function for improving the environment, beautification function for molding a person's sentiment and colorful practical function. It can promote the ecological balance of the city and optimize the environment for human residence to meet the needs of people to approach the nature and return to the nature. In designing roof garden, the favorite factors, such as wide field of vision, good illumination, large temperature difference, little pollution, small people flow as well as adverse factors concerning the field, bearing capacity, soil and wind power should be taken into account. In the meantime, to create an outer ecological space with abundant cultural connotation, it is necessary to take safety as prerequisite, ecology as basis, artistic quality as its core, function as its purpose and economy as its guarantee.

    2005, 27(3):89-92. DOI: 10.11835/j.issn.1674-4764.2005.03.034
    [Abstract](682) [HTML](0) [PDF 368.32 K](7) [Cited by](21)
    Abstract:
In this paper, the influences of different kinds and different amount of mineral admixture to Cl-penetration and diffusion in concrete are studied. The results of experiment show that separate addition of mineral admixture (ground fly ash, slag fines, silica fume) into concrete can improve its resistance to chloride ion penetration and diffusion. Furthermore, the effect of silica fume is the best, fly ash second, and then follows slag fines. Mechanism analysis shows that the pozzolanic effect of mineral admixture improves the interface between the cement and aggregate in concrete, reduces the total porosity, makes pores more smaller, on the other hand it increases the Cl-consolidation capability of concrete with low alkaline C-S-H gel produced. So the resistance to chloride ion penetration of concrete is improved.
