Abstract:This paper focused on making use of color change to incarnate hierarchy of floodlighting of the building facade in landscape lighting. Color lapse by halo retreat is a good method to reach this goal. The projection light source was chosen on the principle of building exterior color coordination. According to the computing method for chroma coordinates of object color, the magnitude of three stimulus values after reflection by external wall surface and the chroma coordinates were calculated. The purpose of this paper is to take account of the influence of difference between projecting light and reflecting light on external wall surface. At the same time, an approximating computing method is recommended, that is, first figure out the chroma coordinates of two points--the top and bottom points in vertical line of the building and then readjust the location of casting light lamp and lighting fitting or renewal the light source. Then let the chroma coordinate of ever point on the vertical line settle in or be near the line connecting the two points of chroma coordinates on CIE 1931 Chroma chart. It would yield good results due to the color lapse by halo retreat.

Abstract:The architectural creation has been suspected as ostentation in some degree since the setup of theory on modernistic architectural art creation. In the controversy of miscellaneous theories, we are in face of the new challenge in the 21st century. It is an important task in the new century that how to avoid impairment on the personal initiation in face of the impact of new technology or IT. Based on the philosophy of architectural art, the situation and the characteristics of architectural creation at present were analyzed in this paper. The freedom of individual creation without restriction by any code is advocated here, which will make the thoughts of architectural creation vivid in the 21st century.

Abstract:In the elastic-plastic solution of expansion of cylinder cavities based on Tresca strength criterion and Mohr-Coulomb strength criterion, the influence of neutral principal stress is not considered. In this paper the influence of neutral principal stress on elastic-plastic solution of expansion of cylinder cavities is considered. The calculation shows that the radius and displacement of plastic zone will reduce when the neutral principal stress is considered. The conclusions are of practical significance for geotechnical engineering.

Abstract:In this paper, the complex method of the nonlinear programming is used to optimize the parameters of energy dissipation bracing in energy dissipation braced frame. Abstract:In this paper, a Hopfield model for complex water quality evaluation is presented using the artificial neural network for water quality evaluation. The model is examined with the practical data of water quality from Fengzui River located at Nanchuan city in Chongqing. The results show that Hopfield network is fit for water quality evaluation.

Abstract:Through the discussion from a view different from the traditional, the correlations between UV 254 and organic matter monitoring parameters in the field of water supply and wastewater treatment was discussed, such as TOC, DOC and THMs precursors. According to the explanation of applicability in this paper, UV 254 can be used as a surrogate parameter. The measurement of UV 254 as a surrogate parameter has several advantages, such as inexpensive instrument, convenient operation, low operating costs, good correlations to the parameters surrogated, high accuracy and excellent data reappearance in multiple measurements. The application of UV 254 as an indirect parameter is quite valuable, especially under the current financial level of the operation and monitoring of the water and wastewater treatment plants and the laboratory research in China.

Abstract:An artificial neural network (ANN) model was established based on data of paint waste water treated by coagulation oxidation process, using the improved back propagation algorithm. The model was then used to fit and predict some experimental data. The results indicated that the errors between computed data and experimental data were much small. Furthermore, the ANN model could correctly reflect the mechanism of some factors which affected the efficiency of paint waste water treatment.

Abstract:The sustainability assessment of construction project will play an important role in promoting the implementation of sustainable development strategy. The indicator system and standards for sustainability assessment of construction project are discussed in this paper, and then the application mode of sustainability assessment in China is analyzed. A proposal is also put forward in this paper that the sustainability assessment of construction project should be implemented in stages and combined with the feasibility study and environmental impact assessment system.

Abstract:In this paper the vital role of the forepart intervening of the estate management for the owner, the estate supervising company and the developers is mainly discussed. The authors believe that the interval for forepart intervening should be between the time of program setting and the time of crest sealing. Abstract:In the last decade, with the development of environmental science, the studies on water quality models have developed rapidly at home and abroad. The water quality models are mainly used for simulating, assessing and predicting water quality and expounding the transport and transformation of pollutants in aquatic environment, the common models in literature such as fugacity approach, transport model of pollutants in multimedia environment, pollutant exposure model, and water quality management model and so on are discussed. The current situation, history and future trend of the research on aquatic environmental model are summarized. The theories, methodology and application problems which are involved with in this field are analyzed. Several leading objects for study are advanced also in this paper.
