Abstract:In the light of the field investigation on Bashu Cliffside Carvings and analysis of historical documents,this paper shows that the Central Pillar Grotto which was originated from ancient India is of epoch-making significance in the grotto temples.After the Northern Dynasties in China,the Central Pillar Grotto was replaced by Fudou Ceiling Grotto and became the major shape of Chinese grotto.This paper presents the spatial composition and the origin of the Central Pillar Grotto of Bashu Cliffside Carvings in order to explore the cultural connotation of Bashu religious architecture.

Abstract:To develop the public traffic and setup a city form coordinated with the development of the public traffic has become a common sense in the full achievement of the city sustainable development. Due to the particularity of the exploration procedure and some difficulties in urban development, the policy on developing public traffic has not been realized in our country. Now it is on edge to solve these problems, particularly in the new area of development. In this article, the authors intend to find a practical way of establishing a ciity development mode with adapting the public traffic development by contrasting Lujiazui new area in Shanghai and the new east area in Chongqing.

Abstract:Owing to the special geographic environment and chronic historical accumulation,the Chinese nation has formed the national character mainly based on "renaissance ideology",which has exerted a profound influence on the forming and development of Chinese traditional architecture.By discussing the spatial pattern characteristics of country,cities,courtyards and geomantic omen,the authors indicate their common feature-enclosure,and summarize the spatial pattern of Chinese traditional architecture influenced by "renaissance ideology"-layer upon layer enclosure by bringing the spatial patterns of different layers into a unified framework.At the same time,the construction activity is extended to social culture so as to find out the correlation between the spatial pattern of Chinese traditional architecture and national character.

Abstract:The ancient village in Mei Zhou is the special integrity system,which appears the aspects of the humanism,scene and feeling.The environment of society affects the system inevitably because of the open feature of the ancient village system.The speed of the system change is limited by the contradiction caused in the protection of the ancient village.The modern village system will finally replace the ancient one,which is decided by the integrity effect of relationship and reciprocity of the elements in the system.

Abstract:Monolayer cable net system for point - supported glass facade is a kind of flexible tension structures with relatively strong nonlinearity. Its stiffness greatly depends on the pretension in cables. Yet there are few literatures at present reported on its dynamic properties. The characteristic of modal analysis for flexible pre - stressed structures such as cable structures is expatiated herein. Corresponding program was developed to analyze two important factors such as pretension and geometric nonlinearity for dynamic behaviors of cable net herein. It is demonstrated that large errors are brought about by omitting nonlinearity. There exists apparent nonlinear relationship between vibration frequency and pretension in cables. The influence of pretension and geometric nonlinearity on the dynamic properties of cable net is in coordination with each other.

Abstract:It is difficult to establish precise mathematical model in extended Kalman filter data fusion algorithm for GPS/ DR integrated vehicle navigation system, an improved extended Kalman filter data fusion algorithm is put forward based on Discrete stationary wavelet transformation. The simulation results show that the algorithm is better than the extended Kalman filter data fusion algorithm, and is available for GPS/DR integrated vehicle navigation system.

Abstract:The large-span structure requires wind vibration analysis when computing the wind load;however,the formula in current code on wind vibration coefficient can hardly be applied in large-span structure,making its computation difficult and troublesome.This paper makes wind vibration analysis on the large-span curtain wall combined with certain engineering background in the methods of both time domain and frequency domain,and then the derived results are compared.The analytical results demonstrate identical distribution and contiguous numerical value of wind vibration coefficient concluded from the two varied methods;furthermore,even if the method in time domain is higher in computational complexity,more data on the response of structure under wind can be obtained,which provides reference for the theoretical analysis and engineering design.

Abstract:分析了在应用有限元强度折减法计算土质边坡稳定安全度时,屈服准则对计算结果的影响。Mo-hr-Coulomb准则和Drucker-Prager准则是岩土工程中较常用的屈服准则,计算结果表明Mohr-Cou-lomb准则得出的安全度偏小,Drucker-Prager准则与参数α和k的选取直接相关,其中用Mohr-Cou-lomb内接圆及等面积圆得出的安全度比较合理;统一强度理论可以考虑岩土材料的中间主应力效应及拉压差效应,在边坡稳定分析中可以发挥材料的承载潜力。

Abstract:The Lexicographic method has subjective and empirical character,so a weighting coefficient is introduced by considering the importance and proportion of each individual object,the preferable result of every individual object can be confirmed by comparing the degree of similarity between the perfect one and the ecumenic one and the Fuzzy optimization will be perfect.The effectiveness of these methods is illustrated by a fuzzy optimal design of the three-bar truss.

Abstract:In this paper,four models are selected as the representatives and applied to nonlinear dynamic analysis program for space frames which is based on the beam-column elements using the finite element flexibility method and the fiber model.Park's test on combined axial and bending columns under cyclic loading are taken as the calibrations,comparisons to material and structural member level are drawn and the analytical results of various models are discussed.

Abstract:During the pre - stressing of the unbonded prestressed concrete wide flat beam - waffle slab system, the displacements and strains of slab and the prestressed concrete beams were site - measured and the results were analyzed. The prestressing construction was simulated by finite element program. The prestressing efficiency of the unbonded prestressed concrete wide flat beam - waffle slab system was discussed. It indicates that the prestressing efficiency was affected by the in -plane stiffness of slab.

Abstract:In this paper artificial neural networks are used for design of large span double layer torsional reticulated shell. The torsional reticulated shells with spans varying between 50.0 - 80.0m are considered, Back -propagation algorithm is employed for training efficient neural networks for evaluation of the maximum deflection, weight and design of double layer torsional reticulated shell. A special method is developed for data ordering to reduce the nonlinearity of data and to increase the speed of training. This approach also provides the necessary stability. It shows that it is feasible to design double layer reticulated shell with artificial neural networks.

Abstract:In this paper,six reinforced concrete beams dismounted from their worksites under long-term sulphate attack are studied.The authors analyzed the working properties and cracking moment of the reinforced concrete beams under long-term sulphate attack,suggesting that the reinforced concrete beams under long-term sulphate attack may have more favorable cracking-resistant behavior in some circumstances.

Abstract:In this study the influence of the low-intensity ultrasound treatment on excess sludge has been observed.The oxygen uptake rate(OUR),soluble chemical oxygen demand(SCOD),soluble total nitrogen(TN) and soluble total phosphorus(TP) were examined for three power levels of 0.03 W/mL, 0.05 W/mL and 0.1 W/mL as well as two time series of 0~5 min and 0~30 min.It showed that there were two stages of ultrasonic treatment: the first stage took place within the flocs in four minutes,in which SCOD,TN,TP were dissolved from flocs.In the second stage,the microbial activities have been strengthened,as well as OUR,TN,TP have increased greatly.

Abstract:In this paper the problem of energy consumption and environment in the birdhouse is introduced and the reconstructive measures aiming at energy savings are recommended. The measures include the limitation of temperature region, reconstruction of the building envelop and using the sunny board at the south side of the birdhouse roof. Finally, the energy efficiency of the reconstructive project is estimated.

Abstract:The number of hotel buildings increased rapidly in Chongqing with the fast development of its economy.This paper presents the electricity consumption audit of 9 typical hotel buildings in Chongqing.The electricity consumption characteristics of hotel buildings in Chongqing were analyzed.Test results of a typical four-star hotel in summer of 2004 are given and some conclusions and suggestions are presented.

Abstract:Based on the fundamental principles of science of complexity, the complexity of clusters of engineering projects is analyzed in the light of integrity, dynamics, gradation, openness and autonomy. It is believed that the quality supervision of clusters of engineering projects is a typical complex composed of several essential factors, between which there exists a complicated nonlinear relationship. The behaviors and manners of quality supervision are proposed including management evaluation, tree - shape quality supervision, model leading system, independent third - party assessment with a view to strengthen and enhance the quality supervision of clusters of engineering projects.

Abstract:For designing a reasonable housing supply system for the civil servants,the sorted Multinomial Logistic Model is adopted to appraise the match-up level of current housing supply policy and the actual housing demand of the civil servants.Those unmarried,on department level and below,discontented with current housing subsidy method,or those who acquired their houses from the non-market source are likely unsatisfied with the current housing conditions.The result of the Unsorted Multinomial Logistic Model identifies the housing affordability and the housing subsidy standard as the key factors to affect the housing choice of the civil servants.The supply sources,the housing modes for the special civil servants group and the subsidy standards should be focused on when constructing the whole civil servant housing supply policy system.

Abstract:To study on how to choose the optimal capital structure for financial distressed listed firms,the difference of the factors influencing the capital structure and the adjusting procedure between non-distressed firms and distressed firms is analyzed.It shows that the high debt ratio of the distressed firms is significantly related with the proportion of the largest shareholder and the concentration of the share structure.However,the proportion of largest shareholder has little effect on the adjustment of capital structure.Therefore,to solve the problem of distressed firms,it will depend not only on the improvement of corporate governance,but also on the optimization of financial channels.

Abstract:The interest of the parties in construction industry is detached under the traditional contracting model.Non-cooperation,malignant competition and suits bring on high exchange cost,wasting of resources and higher risks.As a new contracting model,relational contract aggregates all parties' interest objective and circulates under a flexible agreement frame.It includes Partnering,Alliance,Long-term Contract and Joint-Venturing with their own characters and merits.This paper analyzed the obstacles of applying relational contract in practice in China and puts forward the corresponding countermeasures.

Abstract:Two problems often appear in estate auction.The first is to whom the buyer can claim cancellation of the contract,if he can't get the estate.The second is whether the tenant can still claim his priority to the estate.In auction,we can't use the principle of agency,fiduciary and mediation to explain the relations among client,auctioneer and buyer,because it doesn't accord with the auction practices and the Action Law section 40.The undisclosed agency in Contract Law may be an adapt explanation to the relations.According to the law hermeneutic,we should narrow the scopes of the tenant priority and exclude it from auction.

Abstract:The core of performance-based building fire protection design consists of the establishment of fire scenario,the enactment of fire and the simulation of fire and smoke-flow development.These are most important for performance-based building fire protection design.An unreasonable enactment or pre-digestion could result in a biggish error between the simulation outcome and the actual condition.In this paper,several emphases and some issues worth much attention are introduced and analyzed.In addition,a few important issues in simulating the fire and smoke-flow development related to Field Model are analyzed in detail.
