The separation and analysis methods of ferroferric compounds in lubricating oil during mechanical transmission friction process are discussed in this paper.Owing to the iron and iron ion entered in lubricating oil yielding the wear and erosion of iron base alloy material.The separation of small wearing particles in lubricating oil and the measurement of iron are studied especially.The reliability of these methods are also verified and judged.
