Abstract:An adaptive control system of the feeding movement of WEDM machine based on monitoring and identifying the machining status is developed.The system samples the pulses of gap voltage and current,identifies the pulses representing different status by the given threshold value and a logic algorithm circuit,and employs 8253 chip to account the percentage of normal pulses within specific interval to obtain the time series data for filling a AR(N) model which used to forecast and avoid short circuit along with output the manipulative value to control the feeding speed.Experiment results show that the percentage of normal pulses is obviously improved.
