Abstract:Abstract:The ultrasound B-mode image and the image enhancement are introcued. The cause of amalgamation for histogram equalization, logarithm and order histogram equalization is analyzed theoretically. An improved histogram equalization method is proposed to maintain the gray level. The experimental results with dummy ultrasound B-mode images demonstrate that the image enhancement performance of the proposed method is better than those of histogram equalization, logarithm and order histogram equalization.
