针对当前建筑行业人员普遍轻视建筑设备工程，建筑设备人员紧缺的这一现象，笔者结合香港淘大花园的大规模非典感染事件，从建筑设备与现代建筑的关系出发，指出现代建筑的发展离不开建筑设备，并提出了两点解决措施。
