Building architecture course is characterized by its opening theaching contents, practice of teaching process, diversified teaching evaluation. The author introduces the application of topiccentered researchoriented teaching pattern on the building architecture teaching. Teaching process is deployed by a construction project and students in smallgroup form carried on groupbased research study from project proposal, schematic design to detail design.
