文章分析了中国现代高等教育的形式，提出了地方本科院校园林专业要增强自身参与市场竞争的能力，在激烈的竞争中立于不败之地，应该充分挖掘并结合地方社会、经济、文化特色，逐步形成体现地方特色的独特的办学模式。

I analyzed the situation of modern higher education in P. R. China, and proposed that a unique teaching mode for landscape architecture was needed in local colleges and universities. The teaching mode should combine and reflect local characteristics of society, economy, and culture, which can enhance competitive strength of local colleges and universities.
