土木工程材料课程是土木工程专业学生必修的专业基础课。该课主要是为了使未来的建设工程师了解和掌握工程中常用材料的基本性能与应用方法。文章从该课设置背景与教学内容出发，分析了大土木工程对人才培养的实际需要，提出该课应侧重于材料及其在工程中的应用，并针对性地提出该课建设方案。

Civil Engineering Materials is a basic course for undergraduate student in civil engineering field.This course aims to introduce essential performances and engineering application of general materials in civil engineering.Taking account of background and content of civil engineering materials course, the saturation of practical requirement for human resource training of engineering is analyzed.A recommendation on course construction emphasized on engineering application is presented in this paper.
