The production practice of engineering specialty is an important practical teaching step for institutions of higher education. The current situation of production practice of engineering specialty in universities and colleges of P. R. China was analyzed. The influence and restrict factors for the efficiency and quality of production practice were analyzed. Based on the analysis, measures were presented to improve the efficiency of production practice and teaching quality.
