改革开放和市场经济为高校的蓬勃发展带来了生机,也给高校安全保卫工作带来了新挑战。文章在阐述安全保卫工作对高校健康、持续、和谐发展重要作用的基础上,剖析了目前国内高校安全保卫工作出现边缘化趋势的原因。通过分析美国、加拿大两国在校园安全保卫工作方面的做法和经验,提出了准确定位、提高素质、强化服务、深化创新等改变高校安全保卫工作的对策。

Since the reform and open policy, the growth of market economy has brought vitality to universities development, however, given new challenges to the security work. Security work takes an important role in maintaining healthy, sustaining and harmony development of universities, so the paper analyzed the reason why the security work in university was marginalization. With analysis of the experiences of university security work in USA and Canada, proposed some countermeasures to change the university security work, such as making position explicit, enhancing staff qualities, cultivating service conscious, and developing innovative ability, etc.
