文章以独立学院产品设计专业教学改革为出发点，分析了独立学院产品设计专业学生的主要特点、产品设计专业对独立学院学生的能力要求、产品设计专业传统的教学方式及存在的一些问题。在此基础上，对独立学院产品设计专业教学提出了一些策略及建议，旨在加强独立学院产品设计专业学科建设。

Based on the teaching reform of product design specialty in independent colleges, characteristics of product design majors in independent colleges, requirements for product design majors, the traditional teaching methods, and existing problems were analyzed. Then suggestions on the product design course teaching were put forward to strengthen the discipline construction of product design specialty in independent colleges.
