Reviewing the development process of modern urban planning, the objects and contents of urban planning are constantly adjusted with the development of the times, and tend to be multivariate and complex. Based on the new normal of China's urbanization, from the three aspects of natural science, social science and applied science, the professional knowledge system of urban and rural planning is constructed, and the cultivation focus of systematic thinking ability, problem finding ability, problem analyzing ability, and problem solving ability is put forward.
