The definition of its professional connotation and extension, and the way to build a reasonable curriculum system and other issues have always been discussed. Human geography and urban and rural planning major of local colleges and universities in western region is often faced with considerations such as professional orientation, curriculum setting, and student ability construction. Feedback problems and suggestions from students can better correct the limitations of top-down teaching reform. Taking human geography and urban and rural planning of Nanning Normal University as an example, based on the analysis of undergraduate questionnaires, the curriculum setting, class schedule, course content and training methods were adjusted.
