On the base of summarizing the implication of general education and introducing the experience in China, this paper agrees that ideological and political theory course and general education course should have an integrated planning. As an important field of general education curriculum, ideological and political theory course should have innovation in educational objective, teaching contents, teaching methods and teaching organization by learning from the spirit of general education, and this is the inevitable demand of the times.
