Abstract:Henri Lefebvre believed that change in space is the decisive factor in producing change in society, and regarded space as the subject of urban social research. By constructing an interpretive narrative of Levi’s spatial triadic dialectic, and translating social phenomena in space into concrete spatial configurations from the perspective of social phenomena, we explore the possibility of teaching urban research and design as a method to unify space and people, which are separated by paradigm differences in different professional fields, at the disciplinary level, in order to re-examine and understand the interrelationship between architecture, city and society.
