Abstract:Teaching competitions are an important platform for exchanging and teaching research among different disciplines and majors, as well as an effective means to promote professional development and classroom construction. However, the traditional architectural teaching method characterized by mentorship often faces challenges in teaching competitions under the new engineering background. Therefore, how to highlight the characteristics of the architecture discipline in teaching reform and classroom teaching, and form a curriculum teaching system that meets the development demands of the major, the industry, and the profession, has become an issue that cannot be ignored in the basic teaching of the architecture major. Taking the architectural drawing course that won the first prize in the engineering group in the 12th Beijing Young Teachers’ Teaching Basic Skills Competition and won the second prize in the 2nd Beijing University Teachers’ Teaching Innovation Competition as examples, the research explores the architectural drawing teaching reform design of Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture for full process graphical language training. Based on the analysis of course problems and strategic responses, the research explains the teaching reform methods and key points of this course from three dimensions: teaching content, teaching mode, and course evaluation system, and systematically combs the teaching design and innovative elements of architectural section drawing in combination with the participating units, With a view to providing useful experience for the construction of first-class specialties as well as optimizing and reforming of basic courses of architecture.
