ChatGPT作为一种基于大型语言模型机器学习系统,一经面世便获得了现象级成功,并引发了其在高等教育领域的热议。作为总结人类语言使用统计规律的人工智能技术,ChatGPT在逻辑推理、信度、创造性、独创性、理解等方面存在着一定局限性。当前学界对ChatGPT在高等教育领域应用的隐忧主要有对高等教育的异化、对大学教师身份认知的威胁和对大学地位的动摇三个方面。将ChatGPT等同于通用人工智能的误区,以及对高等教育领域中的物化逻辑的焦虑是上述隐忧的根源所在。为此,需理性看待人工智能时代的人机关系,让高等教育实践归回本真,在适应ChatGPT的同时采取防御措施。

As a machine learning system based on large-scale language models, ChatGPT has achieved phenomenal success since its inception and has sparked heated discussions about its application in higher education. As an artificial intelligence technology that summarizes the statistical patterns of human language use, ChatGPT has certain limitations in terms of logical reasoning, credibility, creativity, originality, and understanding. The current academic concerns about the application of ChatGPT in higher education mainly include three aspects: the alienation of higher education, the threat to the identity recognition of university teachers, and the shaking of the status of universities. The misconception of equating ChatGPT with general artificial intelligence, as well as the anxiety over the reification logic in the field of higher education, are the root causes of the above concerns. To address these issues, it is necessary to rationally view the human-machine relationship in the era of artificial intelligence, to return higher education practice to its essence, and to take defensive measures while adapting to ChatGPT.
