Abstract:Under the background of "new engineering", the development of the civil engineering industry presents trends such as globalization, informatization, cross cutting, and integration. The complexity of engineering has increased, and multiple stakeholders are deeply intertwined. Ethical dilemmas and moral issues are prominent and more complex. Higher education institutions urgently need to strengthen the education of engineering ethics awareness and professional ethics standards, and cultivate new era engineers with engineering ethics. This article systematically analyzes the concepts and connotations of engineering ethics awareness and professional ethics standards, and constructs a talent training system framework that stimulates internal motivation through external driving forces, including top-level design of training programs, guarantee of teaching staff, and construction of teaching resources. The School of Civil Engineering at Southeast University actively engages in practical exploration, adopting various measures such as reforming training programs, optimizing teaching systems, cultivating teaching resources, and deepening the joint training mode of industry university research, focusing on enhancing students' awareness of engineering ethics and professional ethics. So far, good effects have been achieved, which can provide reference for the education and teaching of engineering ethics and professional ethics in other engineering majors.
