Abstract:As an important force to promote China's economic and social transformation and upgrading, the core of new quality productivity lies in scientific and technological innovation, and innovative talents are the key driving force in this process. Traditional engineering majors in local universities are an important base for training future engineering and technical talents, how to nurture more new talents with innovative thinking and practical ability in the wave of new quality productivity is the key to achieving connotative development. This paper deeply analyzes the current challenges faced by the innovation ability cultivation of engineering undergraduates, and proposes a compound and cross-cutting innovative talent training model of "multi-dimensional expansion, multi-stage progression, multi-discipline integration, and multi-collaboration", aiming to provide solid talent support for the industrial upgrading and development of new productive forces of the national and local economies.
