Abstract:Environmental education is an important means to cultivate talents for ecological civilization, with aesthetic education in the environment being a pivotal tool for its comprehensive and in-depth development, and general education course is an effective way for this purpose. This paper is oriented to the development needs of education in the new era, based on the concept of comprehensive education and the philosophical thinking of environmental aesthetics, to clarify the goals and bottlenecks of environmental aesthetics courses in universities, and takes the practice of ‘Healing Environment’ course as an inspiration and example to explore the paradigms, construction pathways, and value significance of environmental aesthetic general education courses in higher education institutions.
