Abstract:With the open-source release of Deepseek, Generative AI has become more accessible, and its powerful data processing and content generation capabilities are reshaping the educational ecosystem. The learning needs and methods of students have changed, as they now possess a certain level of autonomous learning ability, leading to a gradual decline in the traditional teaching role of teachers. The application of Generative AI not only brings technological transformation to education but also drives a profound shift in educational philosophy, making the traditional "teaching" concept increasingly outdated. In this new educational context, the transformation of the teacher's role, as a key element in the teaching process, has become inevitable. However, Generative AI is still an emerging technology in the education field, and the current transformation of the teacher's role faces key challenges, including insufficient technological literacy, the constraints of traditional educational concepts, and difficulties in implementing personalized teaching. To address these challenges, this paper explores the path for reconstructing the teacher's role. First, teachers need to enhance their technological literacy, master the application of Generative AI tools, improve their work efficiency, and be able to generate diverse teaching content using Generative AI technology. Second, teachers should shift their educational philosophy, focusing on cultivating students' thinking and innovation abilities, and return to the essence of education—teaching morality and virtue. At the same time, teachers should innovate teaching methods to improve effectiveness, using personalized teaching strategies to implement individualized instruction. Finally, teachers must maintain continuous learning and communication, constantly innovating teaching content and methods to adapt to the ever-changing educational environment. This study of the teacher role reconstruction path and practical strategies aims to help teachers effectively respond to the challenges posed by Generative AI, driving updates to educational philosophy and teaching methods. This will lay a solid foundation for the future development of education and promote the holistic growth and innovation capacity of students.
