This study conducts a systematic analysis of 378 research articles on soil mechanics course teaching in China from 2004 to 2025 using CiteSpace methods. The findings reveal that: the annual publication volume shows breakthrough growth along with the advancement of educational informatization, demonstrating significant correlation with China"s higher education reform and the popularization of modern educational technologies; keyword co-occurrence and cluster analysis indicate that research hotspots have shifted from teaching method reforms to curriculum-based ideological and political education and new engineering education construction. However, the low density of inter-institutional collaboration networks suggests fragmented cooperation and the absence of core author groups. Through knowledge graph analysis, this research systematically outlines the developmental trajectory of soil mechanics course teaching, providing theoretical references and practical guidance for future teaching reforms and disciplinary development.
