Cooperative education is one of the approaches to enhancing students’ comprehensive competence by means of professional practice program and it is a worldwide advocated education model as well. As cradle of cooperative education, university of Cincinnati has achieved a lot of successful experience. The paper expatiates upon the cooperative education of university of Cincinnati, namely professional practice program that deserves study and use for reference in order to advance China’s reform of higher education.
