This article attempts to illustrate how Japanese architects benefit from their traditional culture through the analysis of some features and characteristics of traditional Japanese architecture, and the connection between traditional Japanese architecture and modern Japanese architecture. It is a useful exploration to find out the source of modern Japanese architecture style, and Chinese architects may benefit from such a research.
