In order to enhance the competitiveness of nongovernmental institutions, and form nongovernmental institutions in civil engineering specialty talents training mode, according to the characteristics of students in nongovernmental institutions, the authors discuss reform plans of talent training mode that is different from public universities. They includes resetting target of talent cultivation, adding practice module and professional class module in training plan, optimizing course content according to practical, conformability, and contemporary principles, practicing some teaching methods such as‘dynamic approach’, enhancing humanities education and cultivating own campus cultural.
