Visual basic (VB) language is used widely in civil engineering, and is an important tool for undergraduates and postgraduates to study aided design. To improve student’s positivity of computer language study, and bring up their ability of applying the language to solve engineering problem, the grading teaching mode has been used in practice based on specialty knowledge and engineering background. Basic and application training were also used to help students grasp the knowledge and improve the teaching effect.
