The content of qualitative analysis has been more and more extensively used in structural mechanics teaching,but the teaching method and the content system of qualitative analysis is imperfect.A combination between qualitative analysis and traditional structural mechanics teaching is discussed to solve this problem.A reasonable teaching system of qualitative structural mechanics is put foreword to achieve the goals of improving students' abilities of analysis and comprehensive qualities.The teaching practice indicates that the new teaching mode can expand the teaching space and inspire students' interest in studying.It also shows that qualitative analysis helps to understand the mechanics principle with a greater depth and clarity and is beneficial to the improvement of teaching quality.
